Winter in the Desert
For the winter in the desert assignment we had to capture the effect of winter in the desert. One of our photographs had to be captured in trees, sand, or in the mountains. The second photograph was to capture the cold in the frost or ice on the ground. The effect of winter can also be seen trough the eyes of people or their faces. For the first photograph I took a picture of a tree that had no leaves and the branches were cut. To make the picture have more of a winter effect I used Adobe Photoshop to make it black and white. Then I changed the levels to make the shadows lighter. The second picture was harder to take because I had to use ice and water to make it seem as if the concrete was frozen. After all that technique did not work so I ended up taking a picture of a large plastic we had on the floor. Since the plastic was scratched and old it look like it was ice. For my last picture I took a photo of my brother. I decided to just take a picture of his eyes. I then used photoshop to make his face seem sort of red to give the effect that he was cold. I also added other pictures I liked because they had a winter effect.
